ELECTRONIC ART SPECIFICATIONS
PC or Apple Formats Accepted

We strongly recommend that you use our templates for setting up your Artwork. Different manufacturers may use slightly different dimensions. These may be very subtle differences you don't notice. Even slight deviations from Suncoasts' specifications can make big problems in printing and packaging and could cause problems in delaying your print job.

We CAN accept the following art formats:

  • Adobe Acrobat PDF (.PDF)
  • Adobe Illustrator up to version CS2 (.AI)
  • Adobe Photoshop up to version CS2 (.PSD)
  • Corel Draw up to version 12 (.CDR)
  • Quark XPress up to version 7 (.QXD)

We CAN NOT accept the following art formats:

  • JPEG (.JPG) - great for the web, but not recommended for print output
  • GIF (.GIF) - great for the web, but not recommended for print output

Convert all text to curves, or include fonts. For quality printing of your order, artwork should be created at 300 dpi and in CMYK.

When electronic art is not available please provide a copy of your business name and logo/artwork. Black and white slicks are best for reproduction. If a slick is not available, letterhead, envelope, business card, previous plastic cards, menu, brochure, etc., can be used to scan an image. Do not staple, paste over or fold the artwork.

When laying out artwork please leave 1/8" from all cut areas and with a full bleed background please extend artwork at least 1/8" beyond cut line. Please provide accurate PMS colors when available.
